I love meals that everyone can enjoy. This meal can easily be made for an entire family. If you have family members that must have the bread, simply put their serving on hoagie rolls.

The bell peppers and onion come together with the cheese for such an amazing meal. The meat is so tender and everyone will be satisfied after this filling meal.

Let’s get started making Low carb philly cheesesteak!

We used a cast iron skillet and you just can’t beat the flavor. I purchased my cast iron skillet online and they have several on sale now.

Ingredients for Keto Philly Cheese Steak Skillet dinner:

  • 1 1/2 lbs flank steak or round steak thinly sliced (ground beef would be amazing too)
  • 2  teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 green pepper sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 red pepper sliced
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 7 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper

How to make Keto philly cheesesteak casserole:

  1. In a hot cast iron skillet, melt two tablespoons of butter and add peppers, onion, and minced garlic.

2. Saute until the onions and peppers are soft on medium high heat.  Remove the veggies from the cast iron skillet and set aside.

3.Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in the cast iron skillet and add in the steak. (Make sure to use a large skillet so you have plenty of room). You can also use a tablespoon oil if desired.

  • 4.Add in the Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper.
  • 5.Allow to sear on each side, then cover and cook on medium-low until the steak is cooked all the way through.
  • 6.Once the steak is done, add the peppers and onion mixture back to the cast iron skillet. Cook on low for 2 minutes.

7. Place provolone cheese slices on top of the steak and veggie mixture to cover.

8.Place the cast iron skillet in the oven on broil for 1-3 minutes until the cheese is melted thoroughly.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve with a side salad and dinner is done.
